Portable Discussion Unit
Portable discussion unit configurable as either chairman, delegate with mute, delegate without mute or interpreter unit.
The DC 5980 P is a fully digital portable conference unit that can be configured either as a chairman, delegate or interpreter unit. As default, the unit is configured as a delegate unit but the button overlay is changeable to match the desired functionality.
Reconfiguration is easily done in just a matter of seconds and the unit will keep its configuration even if it is used in another DDS 5900 system.
Depending on the configuration the left button changes functionality. Chairman configuration support “Del. Off’ that allows the chairman to switch off all active delegate microphones.

Cardioid polar pattern with red LED to indicate microphone is active. 16-inch (40 cm) or 20-inch (50 cm).
The GM 5923 and GM 5924 are compatible with the DC 5980 P units featuring XLR socket for microphone connection and has superior sound quality.
Works with DDS 5900 and DCS 6000 Systems.

It easily connects to your videoconferencing system or recording equipment, and even allows for simultaneous translation when multi-lingual meetings take place.
The DDS 5900 combines the microphone, loudspeaker, interpretation audio, and user controls in an integrated system. Now with a choice of both permanently-installed flush-mount and portable discussion units, the DDS 5900 is equally at home in historic buildings and contemporary meeting spaces.
